Plain beads / Linker beads (Epoxy beads)
- Plain beads
For immobilization of DNA with a surface epoxy groups. Purification of a transcription factor and complementary DNA or RNA is one of applications.

- Linker beads (Epoxy beads)
It is difficult for the OH groups to immobilize it to beads in reactivity being low, but phenol groups can be immobilized on epoxy beads under an alkaline condition because reactivity is high. Because epoxy beads produce almost no non-specific protein adsorption, it is not necessary to mask the remaining epoxy groups.

NH2 beads / OH beads
- NH2 beads
Compounds with COOH groups are immobilized on NH2 beads by covalent bond. But it is necessary to let a ligand activate with NHS ester.

- OH beads
When the reactivity of the COOH groups is high, compounds with COOH groups are immobilized on OH beads by covalent bond. Because OH beads produce almost no non-specific protein adsorption, it is not necessary to mask the remaining OH groups.

NHS beads / COOH beads
- NHS beads
Compounds with NH2 groups are immobilized on COOH beads by covalent bond easily. Therefore we can purify target protein at high purity from samples such as the cell extract. And, because antibodies or proteins with NH2 groups are immobilized easily, we can use it for immunoprecipitation and cell separation.

Azide beads / Alkyne beads
- Azide beads
Compounds with alkyne are immobilized on azide beads easily by using a click chemistry reaction. When a compound has plural one functional group, we can immobilize the compound which we introduced an alkyne into on azide beads regiospecifically.
